Dubai’s two international airports experienced disruptions on Tuesday morning due to the dense fog.
A spokesperson for Dubai Airports informed Khaleej Times that a total of 35 flights were affected by the fog.
“Operations at Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central — Al Maktoum International (DWC) have been impacted since early Tuesday morning due to adverse weather conditions, leading to the cancellation of 12 flights and the diversion of 23 inbound services,” the spokesperson stated.

The heavy fog on Tuesday significantly reduced visibility to just a few hundred meters. Apart from air traffic, road traffic also experienced slower movement on some of the emirate’s highways.
The world’s largest international airport mentioned that it is collaborating with airlines to minimize disruptions.
“Dubai Airports is closely coordinating with airlines and service partners to reduce inconvenience to passengers and resume normal operations promptly. Passengers are advised to check with their respective airlines for the most recent flight updates,” stated Dubai Airports, the entity managing the emirate’s two airports.
